Open Positions
NeoVentures Biotechnology Inc. is a private research company that is the global leader in aptamer discovery and applications. The application of aptamers in diagnostics and therapeutic applications by the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry is expanding exponentially. Our client base is global, but primarily focused in Europe and the U.S. NeoVentures is hiring a Research Associate- Protein Purification to join our growing team of researchers. NeoVentures is located in London, Ontario, Canada. We are looking for someone with lab experience, good pipetting skills, the ability to follow experimental protocols, perform mathematical calculations easily, and who can multi-task in order to maintain high productivity without compromising the quality of the results. At NeoVentures we want team members that have a passion for science and are committed to improving health care.
Responsibilities
- – Routine handling of mammalian cell cultures
- – Conducting high-throughput expression of proteins using mammalian cell systems.
- – Conducting and designing laboratory experiments
- – Supporting experimental research projects currently underway in the laboratory.
- – Analyzing and reporting experimental results to our teams and clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- – Strong background in molecular biology and hands- on experience with cell culture techniques
- – Experience in protein biochemistry, including expression and purification of recombinant proteins.
- – Ability to perform at a high level without compromising quality and attention to detail.
- – Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- – Excellent oral and written communication skills
- – Excellent communication skills and problem solving
- – Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Requirements
- A minimum of a BSc in Biological Sciences (Cell Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, or other relevant fields) with an additional 1+ years of experience
Job Type
Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
