Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>

  • -Execute existing data analysis pipelines on 4.29 billion aptamer sequence data sets including meta-analysis of oligonucleotide secondary structures on in-house Linux servers.<\/li>
  • -Build customized applications for specific project needs.<\/li>
  • -Collaborate with our French subsidiary, NeoNeuro, to develop and improve analytical pipelines. \u00a0<\/li>
  • -Maintain pipeline versions, container specifications for all data analyzed.<\/li>
  • -Maintain clear file management and coordination across multiple simultaneous projects.<\/li>
  • -Provide input into experimental design and analysis validation.<\/li>
  • -Thoroughly test and document workflows.<\/li>
  • -Develop custom analysis tools and improve existing tools where appropriate<\/li>
  • -Provide output in summaries suitable for sharing externally.<\/li><\/ul>

    Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>

    • -Master\u2019s degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science or equivalent experience<\/li>
    • -Experience designing and implementing NGS and -omics data processing pipelines.<\/li>
    • -Knowledge of common bioinformatics file types and analysis tools<\/li>
    • -Strong background in Python and Linux.<\/li>
    • -Extensive experience of shell scripting and the command-line<\/li>
    • -Familiarity with scikit-learn or tensor-flow packages (ML) in python<\/li>
    • -Strong interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>
    • -A background in biology\/genetics with proven critical thinking and research skills<\/li>
    • -Eligible to work in Canada.<\/li><\/ul>

      Assets<\/strong><\/p>

      • -Experience with workflow frameworks\/languages (e.g. WDL, CWL, Nextflow, Snakemake)<\/li>
      • -Experience with Docker\/Singularity\/containerization<\/li>
      • -Experience with cloud computing (particularly GCP, AWS, and Azure) or HPC environments<\/li>
      • -Experience critically interpreting scientific literature.<\/li>
      • -Familiarity and proficiency generating effective data visualizations.<\/li>
      • -Experience working with databases<\/li>
      • -Data visualisation in R using tidyverse and ggplot2 packages would be a plus.<\/li>
